2024 The Year of Pride
Instead of a single event, we have decided to dedicate this year to what we are calling a “The Year of Pride.” This decision was not made lightly, but with careful consideration for the future of our community and the significance of Pride celebrations. We are working on Splash Back into Pride event July 27th, also working on a Monster Mash Costume Ball near to Halloween. We don’t need only one event here, lets show our Pride all year long.
During The Year of Pride, our focus will be on fundraising and community engagement initiatives. We believe that by taking this time to raise funds and build stronger connections within our community, we can ensure that our Pride event next year will be even more inclusive, vibrant, and well-planned.
We invite you to join us in our efforts over the coming months as we work towards creating an even more meaningful Pride experience for everyone involved. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that our community continues to thrive.
Silver Valley Pride Celebrates a Major Milestone: Filing for 501(c)3 Status!
We are thrilled to announce that Silver Valley Pride has officially filed for 501(c)(3) status! This significant milestone marks a new chapter in our journey to support and uplift the LGBTQ+ community in Silver Valley.
What Does 501(c)3 Status Mean for Us?
Filing for 501(c)3 status is a crucial step for our organization. Once approved, it will allow us to operate as a recognized non-profit, making it easier to:
- Receive tax-deductible donations from generous supporters.
- Apply for grants and funding opportunities to expand our programs and services.
- Strengthen our financial transparency and accountability.
Our Journey So Far
From our humble beginnings, Silver Valley Pride has grown into a vibrant community dedicated to promoting inclusivity, acceptance, and support for LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies. We’ve hosted events, support groups, and an upcoming pool party, and all aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and pride.
Looking Ahead
As we await the approval of our 501(c)(3) status, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. This milestone will enable us to:
- Launch new initiatives to educate and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.
- Provide more resources and support for those in need.
- Collaborate with other organizations to amplify our impact.
Join Us in Celebrating!
We couldn’t have reached this point without the unwavering support of our community. To celebrate this achievement, we invite you to join us at our upcoming events and stay connected through our website and social media channels.
Thank you for being a part of our journey. Together, we will continue to make a positive difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals in Silver Valley.
